As a Modern Workplace Engineer within the Modern Workplace team you will be responsible for the overall management and administration of workplace cloud and on-premises business enabling technologies. In this role you will play a key role in assisting the Regional IT Manager Modern Workplace in the delivery and support of strategic platforms & projects .

You will work with Global & Regional technical colleagues to contribute to and recommend solutions in support of key business objectives and workplace adoption programs. Therefore, you must be able to grasp new concepts and technologies quickly and be able to research and apply them to real world business requirements, then be prepared to rebuild it again when something better presents itself.

You will also assist as escalation point with sophisticated operational and systems engineering needs working cross teams as needed. These operational activities may include resolving called out complex and/or business impacting technology issues and participating in security incident response and investigations.

What You’ll Do

  • Configure, deploy & support a large set of Modern workplace technologies like Intune, SCCM, On-Prem/Azure AD, Microsoft 365
  • Put a special attention to our Communication & Collaboration domain (Microsoft Teams Voice & Video)
  • Be an ‘active’ team player in all Modern Workplace related projects implementations
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert towards all IT & business partners (in EU & Globally)
  • Provide engineering and technical input to create, maintain, and implement workplace engineering standards
  • Bring the different modern workplace technology pieces together
  • Support/resolve incident tickets (L3)
  • Constantly acquire new knowledge and skills to stay at the fore front of business and information technology
  • Enforce end user experience standards are always met
  • Enhance & ‘guide’ user effectiveness and readiness (Adoption role)

What You Have

  • Bachelor in IT or related is a must
  • Min 3 years of experience in information technology & Modern Workplace Solutions including but not limited to: Microsoft 365 Administration (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint/OneDrive), On-Prem AD/Azure Active Directory (including Group Policies), Networking platforms, Imaging, Packaging, Intune, SCCM, Azure Virtual Desktop, …
  • Experience with implementation & support of Microsoft Teams Voice & Telephony solutions
  • Able to create documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to train users
  • Experience in an agile practices, Agile certification or equivalent experience is an asset
  • Microsoft M365 certifications not essential but valued
  • Strong upward and downward communication skills
  • Ability to pay attention on details
  • Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Team player with how-to-do attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure
  • Goal oriented attitude and capacity to set high personal standards of performance, seeks out new challenges and initiates activities
  • Ability to adapt to situations and different/multicultural environments
