Responsibilities
- Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management systems
- Develop set processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production
- Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects
- Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture, design, and high performing software and applications
- Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices
- Conduct research for industry and business questions
- Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production
- Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role
- Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc
- Experience with one of the cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS, OCI)
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with other programming languages (Java, Python)
- Knowledge of data modeling principles and best practices
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and data visualization tools is a plus
