Responsibilities
- The main purpose of the role is to provide IT support to high level stakeholders both IT and Business. The support will consist of investigation as well as hands-on resolution of issues
- The person in this role will play an SME / Consulting / Leadership role for the Data Science landscape consisting of 300 Linux servers containing HPC Cluster, ClearCase, R Studio, Jupyter Notebooks, R, Python, OpenShift K8S, Docker, SAS Studio
- The person will have to spend a lot of time (3-5 days per week) on-site (East Hanover, NJ) with the landscape IT Stakeholders / Data Scientists
- Remote work with occasional travel
Requirements
- DevOps/Sysadmin engineering background
- Hands on experience with R Studio, RS Connect, R Package Manager - installation, configuration, upgrades and patching
- Experience with Advanced Linux concepts and Operating system concepts
- Experience in upgrading R and Python environment in Linux
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker: setup, upgrade, patching, optimization
- Good soft skills in dealing with Director / Senior director level IT and Data Science
- Nice to have: experience with Easybuild, OpenShift flavor of Kubernetes and SAS Studio
