Our teams work in highly agile working environments for Fortune 1000 clients, following XP practices and best CI/CD practices. We are looking for a Senior Appian Developer with open-minded personality, who can join our friendly environment and become a core contributor to our team of experts.
The platform developer on our team, will design and develop the core Appian platform for our project from end to end. You’ll work with customers and end users to understand their mission, current architecture, and security requirements. You’ll work with the team to build a design that will scale to meet their evolving needs. You’ll recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the current environment and new technology. The technical leader will identify new opportunities to build platform-based solutions to help your customers meet their toughest challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Designing and developing the core Appian platform for our project from end to end
- Working close with customers and end users to understand their mission, current architecture, and security requirements
- Analyzing business requirements to develop functional and non-functional system requirements
- Focusing on correcting program errors, preparing operating instructions, compiling documentation of program development, and analyzing system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, out-put requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls
- Collaborating with the team to build a design that will scale to meet their evolving needs
- Recommending tools and capabilities based on your research of the current environment and new technology
- Along with the technical leader you'll identify new opportunities to build platform-based solutions to help your customers meet their toughest challenges
What You Have
- Appian development experience (3 years+)
- Develop approach to deliver agreed upon business requirements
- Enforces Appian development best practices
- Works as a member of the BPM team, and coordinates with all team members to address customer requests
- Responsible for the development activities using Appian BPM, including Java/J2EE/DB application development
- Familiar with Appian plug ins, including rules engines
- Has a strong desire to learn new technologies, and be an innovator
Nice to have
- C# or Java
- API development experience
- Relational DB experience – transact SQL
- Full system integrator (data layer, services, UX)
- Data Management experience
