DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an energetic Senior / Functional QA in Malaysia to make the team stronger.
Responsibilities
- Play the tester role
- Follow a defined Software Quality Control process
- Understand what test plan and test strategy are on project - testing process, testing types and technics, etc
- Design test cases, create check-list/test suites and provide test results reports in required format
- Provide review and analysis on functional requirement and specification
- Estimate own activities based on main test estimation methods, and prioritize own tasks
- Execute test cases, report defects and perform root cause analysis on issues
- Plan own tasks according to project schedule, perform primary testing tasks without supervision
- Collaborate with end users for acceptance test activities
- Work independently while in close collaboration with others in the team and across projects
Requirements
- Min Degree of Computer Science or relevant course
- Test Analyst with strong testing capability with min 6 years of IT experience in test execution and test management
- Passionate to do test designing, test planning and test execution
- Strong or demonstrated analytical skills
- Experience in testing web-based application with understanding of modern web technologies
- Good understanding and knowledge of test methodologies and tools (Jira or equivalent)
- Capable to work with stakeholders located across the global
- Technically competent, as demonstrated by relevant experience
- Hands on experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodology
- Good understanding of the software test lifecycle
- Good discipline in risk control to achieve high standard in a highly regulated environment
- Experience in managing senior stakeholders
- A confident communicator that can explain technology to non-technical audiences
Nice to have
- Good understanding of test automation concepts is an advantage
- Practical experience with test automation tools (UFT, Selenium) as well as JIRA for test management would be a plus
- Experience on core banking and wealth management domain would be a plus
- Knowledge of SQL would be preferred
