System Administrator with Cloud experience

Currently we are looking for a System Administrator with Cloud experience for our Guadalajara office to make the team even stronger.

As a System Administrator, you will be a member of cross functional teams and will support DevOps Automation efforts for transition/implementation of DevOps approach to a cloud and non-cloud computing environment. The job will include developing DevOps strategy, along with implementation and/or integration of Version Control, Build Systems, Deployment, Repository Systems along administrative and support. Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary and individual who is self-motivated and eager to research and identify solutions critical to the public, need to be a DevOps evangelist.


  • Manage technical aspects of end-to-end release lifecycle for applications delivered by development team, from a DevOps stand point;
  • Work on release automation (continuous deployment);
  • Work on Build automation (continuous deployment);
  • Establish the final release configuration;
  • Participate in auditing of performance and security issues discovered during the release process;
  • Onboard new functionalities related to deployment process, update DevOps strategy accordingly;
  • Improve the communication between Development and Operations teams -> DevOps;
  • Work as part of a wider development stream and work directly with developers and business analysts as well;
  • Actively collaborate with Solution Designers and Architects for solution using DevOps;
  • Design, implement and design any tool related to DevOps architecture.


  • 3+ years’ experience as a SysAdmin with some development experience or DevOps;
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field;
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Strong Scripting experience (Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python, etc.);
  • Cloud experience with any cloud provider (AWS or Azure or Google cloud platform or Rackspace, OpenStack, OpenShift or SoftLayer, etc.);
  • Experience with production support (critical environments);
  • Experience handling high severity issues;
  • Troubleshooting experience;
  • Escalation procedure experience;
  • Webservers (Apache/Tomcat);
  • Strong Linux experience (Linux Administration and Troubleshooting);
  • Good knowledge of SQL;
  • Web servers: Apache, Nginx;
  • Application servers: Tomcat, JBoss;
  • Collaboration and project management tools: Perforce, Jira;
  • Version control systems (GIT, SVN);
  • Virtualization Platforms (KVM/XEN/LXC/VMWare);
  • OpenStack and cloud orchestrators;
  • Quick learning of new tools;
  • Experience with troubleshooting.

Nice to have

  • Experience with any configuration management tool (Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Chef, etc.);
  • Continuous integration systems: Jenkins, TeamCity;
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and Jira;
  • Experience with virtualization;
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Nagios, Zabbix;
  • HA DataBase Management, including NoSQL (MySQL, MSSQL, Postgre, MongoDB, Cassandra);
  • Network and Load Balancing technologies;
  • Monitoring platforms (SCOM, NewRelic, Zabbix, Nagios, Dynatrace);
  • CDN: Akamai (DSA, NetStorage), Amazon (CloudFront, EC2, S3);
  • Log analysis (Logstash, Splunk).
