This is the role with a new Client’s Health and Wellness initiative. This team will be working on a large project to implement EPIC EMR (electronic medical records) system for Client’s Clinics. This is an extremely dynamic and fast growing division within the client organization and a great opportunity for anyone interested in being on the forefront healthcare technology.

What You’ll Do

  • Be an integral part of Interoperability team that helps support the integration between EPIC EMR and various internal systems
  • Be inquisitive with data, data mapping, finding gaps are key skills to be successful in this role


  • BS degree in an associated field or other advanced certification along with equivalent experience
  • The right candidate has
  • prior experience working with EHR/EMR Healthcare implementations
  • is experienced in designing and building FHIR interfaces
  • has extensive knowledge of FHIR R4, HL7 v2 and mapping them to each other
  • has experience using FHIR Implementation Guides like US Core
  • has designed and built REST APIs
  • develops quality code leveraging source control, testing, and clear documentation

Nice to have

  • Has exceptional software development skills, with demonstrated project experience using Java or comparable high level languages like C#, Kotlin, Python or Go
  • Has worked on healthcare interoperability systems like CloverLeaf
  • Has an BS or MS plus 3 years working in real-world agile(SCRUM) teams and familiarity with tools like Jira
  • Knows how to leverage code available on open source repositories, like GitHub
  • Worked on standing up an interoperability system from scratch and integrating with EHRs

  • This position operates in a remote capacity, but you must live within driving distance to an EPAM office. Your recruiter will discuss specific details about work location during the initial interview process
